FAQ

1. What tasks will you not carry out?

We cannot give injections for insurance purposes.

2. What is the usual length of a sleepover shift?

A sleepover runs from 10pm to 8am. 

3. If I use your agency for emergency cover and I get on well with a particular worker can I request them again?

Yes, you can, we think staff and client compatibility is a must.

4. If I agree that you should provide me with a long-term support package, can I interview the workers who will be working in my house?

Yes, after the initial meeting we can introduce you to a staff members that fit your criteria, you have the opportunity to then interview these staff.

5. Do I have to contract with the agency? If so, what is the minimum contract period?

Four week’s notice, this can be reduced at the discretion of the Managing Director.

6. If there are times I need more than one worker for moving and assisting procedures what is the minimum call out charge 30 mins, 1 hour/2hours?

2 Hours.

7. Does your rate include VAT?

Homecare & Housing support services are VAT exempt.

8. List the public and other holidays (dates and rates) that your agency charges for this year.

We have 4 public holidays per year - Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Years Eve & New Years Day.  These days are charged at double time.

9. What is Mochridhe’s policy on expenses

Staff will pay for their own food and drinks.  Entry to venues, concerts etc must be met by you. 

10. Can you provide me with a PA who is a driver?

We will do our best to provide you with a driver with a valid UK driving license. This is not guaranteed.  We do not provide cars.

11. Can I request to be invoiced 4 weekly?

Yes we invoice 4 weekly in arrears.

12. What is your payment and billing terms?

We prefer to set up a 4 weekly Direct Debit.  Our terms are stipulated in the Service Level Agreement.  On occasion there may be financial liabilities, in these circumstances we may ask for an advanced payment in lieu of service; this amount is deducted from your final invoice. 

13. Do all your workers have an Enhanced Disclosure? How often are these checks carried out?

Yes, all staff are enhanced disclosure checked.

14. What training will my staff have?

All staff are generically trained in:

1. Moving and Assisting
2. Food Hygiene
3. Health and Safety
4. Adult abuse
5. Child Abuse
6. First Aid

Staff will also be person centred trained to meet your individual need.  Staff also goes through an extensive induction programme.
